Applications Programmer

Harvey Software is seeking a talented computer programmer for development, maintenance and design of our nationally sold line of shipping software.  Job will include new product development, improvement, and design.  The ideal candidate is experienced in software development, troubleshooting and support. Must be flexible, open-minded and possess the ability to work in small focused teams.  All Applications Programmers work in Customer Service as a Customer Support Technician for at least 3-4 months for a solid base in product training before they are moved to Development Services.  Good telephone skills are also required.

Skills Required:

College Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
Experience using Microsoft C++ and Microsoft Studio 6
Experience using Microsoft .NET
Knowledge of ODBC, XML, ADO, OLE and/or other connectivity
Knowledge of database structures and languages such as SQL

Other Optional Skills:

MCPD with MCAD and MCTS Certifications
Microsoft Server Certification
Experience using other Microsoft Visual programming languages
Experience in programming for the transportation/shipping industry

A career at Harvey Software starts here!   Harvey Software Student Internships offer valuable job experience, training opportunities, and opportunity for advancement.  Whether you are student in high school, college, or graduate school seeking work experience in software application support or programming, or you are about to graduate and begin your career in software engineering, consider Harvey Software!

At Harvey Software you can learn about software development, troubleshooting and support.  You must be flexible, open-minded and possess the ability to work in small focused teams.

Skills Required:

Must be in school locally studying computer science or software engineering
Knowledge of basic computer skills

Student Internships are flexible part time jobs that can be scheduled around school hours.  If you school offers credit for student internships we will be happy to work with them so you receive credit.  Work is done during scheduled times between the hours of 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.
